LANDSCAPE

How wonderful is this gift freely given, when standing in a landscape garden that has been prepared, nurtured under the watchful eye of someone who possess the magic of a “green thumb.”

Plants share such an important part of this world and when we humans collide with this powerful energy, how can we not feel in awe of such compounding beauty.

So when the thought arises that “it is only natural” I ask you think again, for it is so obvious that you can only feel this way as it has been created for that very end result!

While working in Cairns Australia, one of my mentors, we will call him Bruce for convenience. Bruce would say most people don’t know that all rocks have a top and a bottom, so that when they are placed to make a wall it looks like it was made in nature.

When we look upon a created landscape, the choice of plants, height, color, shape and all the other variables, especially the outcome over 2, 4, and 10 years on as it comes together in unison, then and only then do you see the vision of the landscape artist.

The Keith Goodwin Memorial Award for Best Garden Exhibit

Every part of a garden has its own elemental quality, the element relationship of plant to plant, the element location of the plant to the land it now resides in. Here exists a fusion of energies that transforms that space into something far far greater than that of the singular energies. We are standing in the heart of a living molecule, standing in the heart of a family of which, we here at Language of Space, have the pleasure of designing for the pleasure of others.
